Marquette May Merriment XLIII Celebrates Community Support and Announces 2025 Fund-a-Need for High School Campus Renovations

The 43rd Annual Marquette May Merriment Gala will take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, bringing together the surrounding community for a night of celebration, gratitude, and generosity. The event will once again serve as an opportunity to come together to support Marquette Academy schools, with a special focus on fundraising for the continued improvement of educational facilities.

Reflecting on Last Year's Success
The 42nd Annual Gala held in 2024 was a tremendous success, grossing over $318,000. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Mrs. Delores Anderson and her son Scott, our Fund-a-Need Project – the replacement of the grade school gym floor and bleacher system, became a reality and was completed this past summer/fall. Because of our donors and the unwavering support of the Marquette community, we were able to complete this vital project, ensuring our students have a safe and updated space for athletic events and physical education.

“We are deeply grateful for the community’s support last year,” said Julie Verona, Advancement Director. “Their contributions made a lasting impact on our school facilities and families, and we are incredibly thankful for the way our community rallied together to support the mission of our school.”

Looking Ahead: 2025 Fund-a-Need
This year, the spotlight of the Fund-a-Need portion of the evening will be dedicated to High School Campus Renovations. As the needs of our growing student body continue to evolve, we are focused on creating modern, safe, and accessible spaces that enhance both academic and extracurricular opportunities for our high school students.
The renovations will include updates to common and classroom spaces, locker rooms, as well as improvements to outdoor facilities. The goal is to create a dynamic and inspiring environment for learning, as well as to ensure that our high school campus continues to serve the needs of future generations.

“We are excited about the possibility of transforming our high school campus into a more modern hub of learning and community engagement,” said Principal, Brooke Rick “These renovations will not only improve the physical spaces our students use every day but also help us provide the best educational experience possible. We are counting on the support of our generous donors and local community members to make this vision a reality.”
