Marquette Academy Introduces Crowd Funding!

In lieu of our traditional Fund-a-Need program, we're introducing crowd-funding projects.

Crowd Funding is an internet program that streamlines fundraising through the practice of financing a project(s) or venture by eliciting smaller donations from a larger pool of donors.

Marquette Academy exists because of financial support from three primary sources:  tuition, parish assessments, and fund-raising.  We are able to offer students an exceptional faith-based education, extracurriculars, and athletics because of our generous donors.

With many projects and goals to meet each year, we are excited to unveil our Crowd Funding Projects for summer/fall 2022!

You choose the project, the amount, and then donate online at www.bidpal.net/mmm40.

Donate to as many projects as you like today, or until our goals are met!

1. BADER GYM REFRESH #800

Improving facilities has a positive effect on student performance and morale. Going forward, MAHS will be hosting the Holiday Basketball Tournament in Bader Gym, and it’s definitely time for a Bader refresh. This tournament will bring revenue and recognition to our school with hundreds of people in attendance. Plans for this summer project include purchasing 60 new chairs for coaches and teams, two hanging racks, and repainting in the gym. This includes deep cleaning the rafters and ceiling, and then painting. Plans and funds are already in the works for refinishing the floor.
Chairs and racks: $10,000
Balcony and ceiling: $20,000

2. CAFETERIA FACELIFT #801

First impressions matter and the MAHS cafeteria has not had a makeover since the 1980s. We plan to refresh the existing space with paint and hardware to showcase our facility and show our Marquette Pride!  Making these necessary improvements will improve flow and ensure that our staff can efficiently manage their time.
Goal amount  is $5,000.

3. TECHNOLOGY MA Elementary #802

Technology is an ever-evolving necessity in today’s world. To keep our educational methods current, we are making the shift from using smart boards, to installing Smart TVs in the classrooms. A Smart TV is an interactive large screen television that anyone, teacher or student, can walk up to and use, with little or no training. Teachers will have a tool that supports the whole class, small group, and individual learning and transition fluidly among the three. MAES needs 17 Smart TVs for all classroom. Goal amount is $8,500.

4. TECHNOLOGY MA High School #803

MAHS needs 20 Smart TVs. Goal amount is $10,000.

5. SAFETY PLAN #804

Keeping our school safe allows children to look forward to being in an encouraging environment that promotes social and creative learning. Recently, we purchased and installed new and additional security cameras for added protection. The next step is acquiring a Keyless Entry System for both campuses. Benefits of Keyless Entry are increased security, save time and money from rekeying costs, better access control, and remote management. Goal amount is $2,000.

5. MAES GYM FLOOR FUND #805

An extended project is to acquire a new gym floor for our elementary campus.  We are hoping to upgrade our gym floor to a FlexCourt system which will not only improve the aesthetics of our gymnasium, but also the quality.  FlexCourt is a shock-absorbing suspended surface that reduces playing fatigue, provides better ball rebound and gives an exceptional game performance.  The shock absorption of the surface can help to protect our students' ankles, legs, joints and lower back from significant injury. New gym flooring will help to promote healthy living and fitness for all students as our gym is utilized daily for physical education classes as well as indoor recess.  We are blessed to have top tier athletic programs at our elementary school.  These programs have become the foundation from which our high school teams build and continue to thrive.  With the addition of this new floor, we are not only giving our young students a better facility in which to compete, but we are better equipping them to improve their athletic prowess and establish a healthier lifestyle for years to come as a Knight and as a Crusader. The cost to purchase and install this flooring system is approximately $50,000.00. (In 2020 we raised $5,900 towards this project.)
